Diane Wofford

Diane D. Wofford, age 72, blessed the world with her presence on August 25, 1950. Daughter of the late Arthur Leroy Wofford and the late Vivian L. Jones Wofford. Diane went home to be with her LORD and Savior, surrounded by her loved ones at UPMC Presbyterian
Hospital on the afternoon of November 5, 2022.
Diane, affectionately known as Nana by her grand and great- grandchildren, graduated from Pittsburgh Westinghouse High School. She then went on to graduate from Sawyer School of Business with a degree in Fashion. She worked for many retail businesses, dry cleaners, as well as a house keeper for Kane. Diane was a model. Throughout her life, she was well known for: her love of fashion, line and fast dancing, music, cooking and caring for her family.
Although small in stature, her heart was enormous. You knew, she loved you, if she blessed you with one of her infamous
nicknames. Her life was full and filled with love. She helped all who needed her, even when she didn’t exactly know what it was that you needed. This lead her to serve on the tenant council at the Homewood House, where she resided.
As the final surviving member of her siblings, she was preceded in death by her brothers Kenneth L., LeRoy K., and Arthur S. “Butchie” Wofford and her sisters Mary L. Wofford and Sandra Jones Williams.
Diane’s legacy will continue to live on through her two beautiful daughters, Yvonne Wofford and Zaneen Brown; her brother, William Duck Sr., grandchildren. Nakia, Malcolm, Janay, William (Samone), De’Andre (KateLynne), De’mond, Zaneen and Zanasia as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Public viewing will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 from 10am-time of Homegoing Celebration 11am held at Allegheny Center Alliance Church 250 East Ohio Street Pittsburgh Pa, 15212 Pastor Alan Hannah, Lead Pastor. Interment will be held at Allegheny Cemetery, Transitional in Love entrusted to Calvin L Sheffield Funeral Home Inc 1125 Allegheny Ave Pittsburgh Pa, 15233
