Lula Stevenson

Lula M. Stevenson 82, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2023. She is survived by an extensive family as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin. Lula was a graduate of the Pittsburgh Public School System and devoted much of her life to working in that same school system primarily with special needs children. She worked continuously as she pursued her own education and became a graduate of Community College of Allegheny County and Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She was a talented and creative person who designed and sewed costumes, choreographed school performances, and taught afterschool cooking classes. In her retirement, Lula was an avid traveler who made friend everywhere she went. Her warm smile, generous spirit, and fun-loving nature touched the lives of many and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. At her request, there will be no formal memorial service. The family asks that loved ones share their stories and fond memories of her with each other and find comfort in the knowledge that she rests with God.
