Patricia Bruce-Acker

Patricia Lynn Bruce Acker, 55, was born in Pittsburgh, on November 9,1967. She passed away peacefully on November 12, 2022 in the St. Clair Hospital, surrounded by her three children, daughter in law and husband of eight years, James Acker.
Patricia was the daughter of Mable Lavender and Lacy Bruce, Jr and a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh who grew up in Lawrenceville with two brothers, Ed and Dave. She attended and graduated from Schenley High School.
After High School she earned her Commercial Driver License (CDL) and started her career as a School Bus Driver for the Pittsburgh Public Schools from which she retired after 30 years of service. She worked very hard to care for her three children, Tarea, Tim and Robert.
She was a great mother, a loving wife, sister and friend. She had a heart of gold, would give you her last. She was well known throughout Pittsburgh for the woman she was and for her out-spoken personality. Patricia will be truly missed by so many; especially by her 11 grandchildren, Anajai, Ziayr, Zu’kyra, Jaden, Amaya, Tarell, Baroc, Amorah, Grace, Lil Robert and Lil Tim. No more pain mom. We love you so much. Fly high and continue to watch over us all.
