Shelia Bridges

Sheila LaVonne Bridges, 48, of New Brighton, passed on into eternal life on Sunday, March 26, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Ulyssess "Big John" Bridges and Donna Jean Newman-Bridges. She worked at Tiny Sprouts Daycare, where she worked as the head preschool teacher. She was a graduate of New Brighton Highschool 93', where she spent many years in the band.

She was a devoted member of Second Baptist Church in Rochester. There she was a member of the Service Guild, as well as the Women's Choir. Sheila loved to sing and her presence could light up a room.

Sheila is preceded in death by her Godfathers, Ronald Goodman and Roosevelt Ferguson, Godmother, Barbara Ferguson, and sister Juanita Bridges.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Dominique Wiggins, Monaca, and Shylin Jackson, Monaca, a beloved son, Cardier Jackson, Ohio, two grandsons who she truly adored , Tyier and Tyson Carter, Monaca ; her aunt, Darlene (Warren) Strickland, New Brighton, her cousin/sister, Darneise Strickland, Texas, loving Godmother, Laverna Goodman, New Brighton, and beloved brothers, Vernon Bridges, Ambridge , Vaughn (Kathrine) Bridges, Ambridge, Michael Genes, Aliquippa, Loving sisters , Teena and Africa Genes, Aliquippa, and Ulana Dulaney, Moon, along time friends Kendra Ramsey , Chippewa , Cindy Placidi , New Brighton , Monique Leverette , Rochester . Followed by a host of nieces and nephews, beloved cousins that she held close to heart and friends that turned into family. Public viewing will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023 5pm until 8pm also Wednesday, April 5, 2023 10am until time of homegoing service 12 noon both held at Second Baptist Church 200 Clay Street Rochester Pa, 15074.
