Thornita Walker

Thornita Ann “Sissy” Walker 73 of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 13, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born in Saybine, West Virginia on December 24, 1949 to Willie Gilmore and Bernice Boyd Gilmore. She graduated from Stratton High School in 1967. She worked as as Certified Nursing Assistant for many years.

She enjoyed shopping, traveling, barbecues and spending time with family and friends.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Samuel Boyd, Jimmy Boyd, Beaunie Lasane, Nancy Coleman and Ruby Gilmore. She leaves to cherish her memories two loving sons, Mark Walker (Holly) of Avalon, PA and Kela Walker, Pittsburgh, PA. Her brothers William "Buddy" Gilmore and Chauncey Gilmore. Her grandchildren Kela Walker, LaPaire Walker, Malik Walker, Julian Walker, Maddox Walker, Emerson Walker and Sevyn Walker. A loving companion, Warner Jordan and his family, Carmen Jordan, Daron Jordan, Khalil Jordan and Daasia Jordan.
